액체를 고체 표면 위에 적하시키면 고체 표면에 액적을 형성한다. 이 때 액체면과 고체면이 이루는 각을 접촉각이라 한다. 젖음(Wetting) 이라하고 이런 젖음 현상을 수치화한 것이 접촉각이다. 접촉각의 값은 액체, 고체의 표면장력에 의존하고 이러한 접촉각은 고체 표면의 물성을 평가하는 중요한 자료가 된다.

– Contact Angle (CA) Goniometer
The ramé-hart Model 190 CA Goniometer is an entry-level tool optimized for contact angle measurement. Model 190 includes DROPimage CA as well as our fiber optic illuminator with halogen light source and our SuperSpeed U1 Series 100 FPS digital camera. Each system ships as a complete turn-key tool with PC and LCD, DROPimage CA software, and microsyringe fixture for manual dispensing. An affordable solution built on the time-proven ramé-hart design makes the CA Goniometer popular with research departments, universities, and in QC environments where budget restraints dictate a simple but upgradeable solution.

– Contact Angle (CA) Goniometer
The Model 200 is a popular and robust contact angle tool designed to offer the highest level of precision computer-aided contact angle and surface energy analysis at the lowest cost. This instrument accepts the optional Automated Dispensing System, Manual Tilting Base, Environmental Fixture, and Wafer Support up to 4” in diameter. It can also be upgraded to DROPimage Advanced software.

Additionally, contact angle, surface energy, surface tension, and calibration tools are included. The Automated Tilting Base is ideal for measuring advancing and receding contact angle. The Automated Dispensing System is well-suited for dynamic studies and adds precision to the formation of pendant and sessile drops. Model 290 is an excellent choice for a wide variety of static and dynamic surface evaluation, contact angle.

– Contact Angle Goniometer
Model 400 has been specifically designed for use with semiconductor thin films and includes an 8” rotating wafer support (ideal for 200mm wafers). This tool is invaluable through each step of the semiconductor manufacturing process — from identifying surface contaminants, analyzing primers and coatings, to the quality and uniformity of surface preparations. This tool includes our 21” bench and U1 Series Super-Speed digital camera. The system can easily be upgraded to support larger wafers (up to 13.625” diameter) or smaller (4”).
